We woke to
perfect weather this morning and I was determined to have a kayak around some
of the stunning waterways of Noosa, both natural and man-made. We drove to a
park close to the centre of Noosa and located on the water. Rob unloaded the
kayak and helped me to get organised. Once I’d headed out he drove to a golf
club nearby to where we are staying and booked in for a round of golf. I had a
ball kayaking the beautiful river and canals. I managed to kayak close to where
the river emptied into the sea but decided I wouldn’t head out the heads to the
ocean on my own. Many fishing boats were heading out. While kayaking in the
river I watched a man throw his line in and catch a large flathead. I have
always dreamed of going kayaking and finding a café on the water where I could
purchase a coffee to have while kayaking. Well today I was able to do this! I found a café/boat-hire
place right on the water. I was able to pull the kayak up onto the sand and
wander over to the café to purchase a coffee. This was midway through my 3 hour
kayak so it was well deserved. Rob enjoyed his 9 holes of golf and Trev had
gone with Rob to drive the cart. Rob called when he had finished golf and
arranged to pick me up from a different spot from where he had left me. We did a little bit of shopping before returning
home. In the evening we went to a wonderful restaurant/micro-brewery with Bev,
Trev and Lesley for a dinner that we all thoroughly enjoyed.
