Today we
left Lumley Hill Camp ground on Wivenhoe Lake and headed for Eumundi. Our
friend, Lesley had invited us to call in and stay as she was “house” sitting
and as we were heading north we felt it would be lovely to spend some time in
this area just inland from Noosa and catch up with Lesley. Lesley met us as we
approached the home and although it was a little tricky, Rob managed to manoeuvre
the van down the narrow and steep driveway to the home or should I say mansion
or may be palace! Bev and Trev, friends of Lesley’s that we have previously met
were also there to greet us. We set the van up in the entrance driveway to this
amazing home and then Lesley gave us a grand tour. This would have to be the
most amazing home I have ever been in! It is spread over 3 levels with both
stairs and a lift and has stunning views from the numerous balconies all around
the home. It has imported Italian marble floors, a stunning, Italian mosaic
tiled picture of the New York skyline that lights up at night, above the
infinity pool. The house is full of fine furniture, antiques and paintings….in
fact I counted 5 pieces of artwork in one of the toilets. Tonight we had
dinner, eating at a $47,000 antique Italian table where once one of the Medici
brothers has sat! Lesley also took us to another property the family own, a
gorgeous farm and dairy that is used as a function venue. I really have to keep
pinching myself to think that I am really here. I will let the photos do the
talking.
