After a bit
of a slow start this morning we decided to go back to the Hunter Valley Garden’s
shops. The gardens have been hosting a Winter festival for children and is
quite expensive to visit so we decided to give it a miss. The drive through the
vineyards and wineries was quite scenic and we enjoyed exploring the charming
and unusual shops near the gardens. We drove to Toronto located on Lake Macquarie
and stopped here for lunch before continuing on to Booragul to visit the Lake
Macquarie City Art Gallery. Unfortunately the art gallery was under renovation and
had closed for a few months but we did do a walk around the sculpture park
located right on the lake. We ended up driving back to our caravan park by
completing a circumnavigation of Lake Macquarie. I finished the day off with a
kayak out on the lake.
